Two North Yorkshire businesses collaborate to offer world-class products

 Twisted Automotive and Coupland Leather collaborate to craft bespoke Land Rovers and luggage. 

Two thriving local businesses have teamed up to offer world-class, unique products proudly made in Yorkshire. Twisted Automotive of Thirsk and Coupland Leather of Osmotherley now offer bespoke luggage for customers commissioning a Land Rover Defender. 

When specifying the interior of their custom vehicle, Twisted clientele can now order luggage to match. Award-winning leather smith Stuart Coupland will be part of the commission process, meeting the Defender owners to understand their lifestyle and what they need from their luggage. 

From sketch to creation, the process is entirely bespoke.

Stuart Coupland, owner of Coupland Leather, set the business up from scratch following redundancy in January 2020. He turned a hobby into a business just six weeks before the country plunged into lockdown and has never looked back. 

On working with Twisted Automotive, he said, “I’ve long admired Twisted’s attention to detail and quality products. Leather is used within their interiors, and people can choose what they want. Why not offer luggage to match? Clients will speak directly to me - the person making their luggage. There are options for personalisation, from stamped initials, dates and names, to laser engraving and debossing stamps.”
